“February-March 2011”

This winter weather has certainly kept us scrambling.  I would like to thank you for your patience with cancellations and delays.

Parking:  Parking continues to be a struggle for many parents during these busy and icy times.  Please reserve the front 4 spots for fast pickup only.  Parents wishing to come in and take time should park further back.  Parents/Grandparents who are in a hurry or worried about the ice can let us know and we will be happy to bring your child out to you.  Please remember the parking to the left as you enter the building is privately owned.

Emails:  Email is a fast and easy way for me to update parents and keep you informed of important reminders.  Please be sure to check your email daily.  I do try to make sure all of the information going out is pertinent to school.   I would like to ask that you put a note in writing to the office if you do not check emails so that I may remember to put a note in your child’s cubby.

Formal Parent Teacher Conferences:   All conferences should be complete.  If you are not completely satisfied please let me know your concerns immediately.  If you feel the need for a follow up conference in the near future, simply make arrangements with your child’s teacher.

Pottsville Republican:  We are excited to hear the Pottsville Republican is coming on Wednesday, February 16th  @ 9:30AM to recognize our 10 year Anniversary!  They will be bringing a photographer to take few pictures.  Please let me know if you do not want your child’s picture in the newspaper.

School Closed:  School will be closed Monday, February 21st for President’s Day.

Upcoming Events

Annual Art Auction for Charity:  This is a special evening here at Perception.  Prior to the auction, we will be asking parents to send in ideas for the charity of your choice.  With those ideas, we request that you ask your child to help vote for your top choice.  We will then host our Annual Art Auction for Charity on Friday, March 4th from 5PM to 7PM.  Please extend invitations to grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  All are welcome! Your child’s art work will be displayed beautifully for all to admire.  Donations will be accepted for the purchase of these masterpieces.  We will also raffle off 3 art baskets.  All families will be given ten, $1raffle tickets to sell.  100% of the proceeds will go to the top charity of your choice.

Spring Soiree:  Each year we celebrate the coming of Spring and New Beginnings with our families.  We picnic outdoors with food, fun and activities for the children.  This year we will have the local band MIXX for entertainment.  For those of you who have musical children, remember to bring your cameras because we can bet there will be lots of little tambourine players, dancers and drummers expressing themselves.   So, please mark your calendars and plan to attend this extra special Spring Soiree as we celebrate together, 10 years if learning, 10 years of growing and 10 years of love!

Summer Enrichment Camps:   Summer Programs  from preschool and school age children begin in June and continue through August.  More details and description of the camps will follow.
